Weekly Plans - Week 25 (Mar. 4-8)

This is the last week of school before we head into March Break for a week.
We are also heading on a half day field trip so we decided to keep things a little simple!

We are heading to the Kortright Centre for their Maple Syrup Festival later this week and I couldn't be more excited...I LOVE maple syrup!
We set up a simple invitation for students to draw what they see/think/wonder about maple syrup at the Science and Discovery Centre.
We will be reading these books, as well as watching a fun video also! Check out my plans for more!

St. Patrick's Day falls during March Break so we decided to set up a few fun things this week.
This is Rainbow World at our Small World Play Centre. There are fun little gnomes scattered around!

This large Tuff Tray is filled with green tissue paper squares, gold ribbon, coins, and loose parts that students can try and get with the tweezers.

Can you build a trap for the leprechaun?

Can you create a rainbow using Fruit Loops, a pipe cleaner and marshmallows?
Thank you to E.C.'s parent for donating all of these materials! (Everything is peanut/nut-free!)

We filled our sensory bin with tinted green water and gold coins. We also added these small plastic cauldrons (from Halloween) which double as the "pots of gold".

Our poem this week is called I'm a Little Shamrock. I typed it out and cut out felt shamrocks for our Felt Board Centre.

Can you create a picture using the mosaic pieces?
These sets were ordered off of Temu - and they are amazing!

We set out some alphabet activities as well this week.
Can you sort the alphabet cards by beginning sounds on the pocket chart?

Students can also work on putting this alphabet puzzle together.

In math, we are keeping it simple by practicing number formation and printing numerals in our book.

You can find this in my Number Printing Book.

Here are my weekly plans if you'd like to download!
